BUSAN (S. KOREA)

Busan, a large port city in South Korea, is known for its beaches, mountains and temples. We visited Haedong Yonggung Temple, a Buddhist temple in Gijang-gun, Busan. The temple complex is a large one and one of few in Korea to be set on the seaside. Next we visited Dongbaek Park and the round, glassy Nurimaru APEC House, the site of the 2005 APEC Leaders’ Meeting. Nearby is a Leaping Man Statue in the bay. Finally we visited the Busan Cinema Center, also called Dureraum, official venue of the Busan International Film Festival, located in Centum City, Busan.
