THE CALGARY STAMPEDE

The Calgary Stampede is a not-for-profit community organization that preserves and celebrates the city’s western heritage, cultures and community spirit. Supported by over 2,500 passionate volunteers, year-round events, programs and initiatives invest in youth, support agricultural programs, celebrate western culture and make a lasting economic impact in Calgary. The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition, and festival held every July, The ten-day event, which bills itself as "The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth", attracts over one million visitors per year and features one of the world's largest rodeos, a parade, midway, stage shows, concerts, agricultural competitions, chuckwagon racing, and First Nations exhibitions.
