SPLIT (CROATIA)
We actually visited Split twice on the cruise because we couldn’t dock at Trieste due to bad weather and we had already visited on a coach from Zadar.
The main attraction is the old town which has been built in an around the ancient palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian who retired there. It is a fascinating place.
